Can I have a rock just like the one in the picture?
We will do everything possible to create a product that meets your expectations. However, when it comes to stones, we are working with Mother Nature, who has an individualist flare. We take pride in our work, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied; we will work with you until you are happy.
I looked at your website and I couldn't find my favorite image.
We have a massive stencil database with approximately a half a million images. Please email us or call; we probably have just what you are looking for.
What if I have an item I want engraved?
We prefer to use our own products for several reasons. There are many factors, such as the fragility and curvature of the glass, that contribute to the amount of set-up time needed. With stones the density and smoothness of the stone affects the engraving time. Furthermore, there is the chance that the product could be damaged in the process and we would be unable to replace it. We will engrave your product as long as you understand that we are not responsible for any flaws or damage to the product. There is a set-up fee to cover the time expended on a customer's product.
What type of artwork is needed for custom engraving?
A vector based format such as, WMF or EPS files. If you don't have an electronic copy, send a black and white laser or camera ready copy. If you send a gray scale or color copy, there will be a cleaning/ converting fee.
How long will it take to complete my order?
Usually it takes about two weeks to complete an order. Please allow an additional week for shipping.
Can I have my order in less then two weeks?
Yes, but rush orders usually incur an additional fee.
Can I have my logo engraved in glass or stone?
Yes, as long as you have written permission to use your corporate logo. We can not engrave copyrighted logos.
You just use a laser, don't you?
A laser will NOT penetrate lead crystal or stone nor will it provide deep engraving on glass. Each piece is individually sand carved by Rick Rosensteel. Sandblasting intricate designs in fine mediums such as crystal is an art form. It takes years of practice to control the minute nozzle while applying a balance of pressure that carves the product without causing flaws.
How expensive is it to ship a stone?
Shipping might not cost as much as you think. Since stones are extremely durable we can ship them by US mail. We have mailed stones safely across the United States and Europe without a problem. Glassware and crystal is generally shipped by priority mail, unless a customer has a different request.
Do you have a retail store?
While we do not have a retail store, if you want to visit us in person we participate in several shows in the Northeast area. At the Maryland Renaissance Festival our shop is located on Stub Toe Lane, the same road as Potomac Leather and her Majesty's Healers (massage). Please stop by, we look forward to meeting you.
